It's a Girl!
Tuesday the 27th was a very special day for me and Matt. 6 years ago on Tuesday we had our very first date at Mr. Sushi in Addison. It seems like a lifetime ago.
When we found out our "gender" sonogram was scheduled for the 27th, it seemed like such a special coincidence!
The sonogram was amazing watching the bean move around on screen. I had a little but of sugar before hand to make sure Dr. Harris could get a clear view of the bean!
We borrowed an idea from Shannon and James and had Dr. Harris write the gender in an envelope and took it with us to dinner that night to open together.
7p reservations at Del Frisco's could not come soon enough!!!! I was like a little kid at Christmas.
Very VERY shortly after ordering we opened it and saw "It's a Girl! Congratulations!"
We are so excited and I have already started looking at all of the precious girl things!

TX/ OU Weekend
Last weekend was my favorite of the entire year...Tx/Ou! And this year was even even better with fabulous weather, great house guests and James' birthday celebration! Friday night we went with Shannon and James to see the Allman Brother Band and Widespread Panic for James 38th bday. Saturday we woke up early and headed to the annual Lenz/ Ehlert tailgate. I will say the Tx/Ou experience is a little different when you can not have a bloody mary or mimosas to start your day...but the breakfast tacos were a great substute...as was the corn dog and fried cheese cake at the fair :-) It was great to see so many of my pledge sisters before heading into the fair! Of course the Horns pulled out another victory, although it was a tough game for sure! Matt and I were feeling lucky since we had the bean on board! It was a fabulous weekend and we were so happy Mosley and Jason were here to stay with us...it is becoming an annual tradition to have the Greagers here on Cinderella for the weekend! Hook 'em!! Photos are from the game and tailgate, me at 16 weeks.

The 10 pound 15 ounce baby
Well, I had my first "baby dream" last night. I dreamt I gave birth to a 10 pound 15 ounce baby. And I was 15 weeks pregnant. I want to thank Jessica Little for this dream as I am sure it stemmed from our conversation about her friend's huge baby. Thanks Jess!

Up and Running!
It seems to be the first official step to start our family blog as we get going on this newest chapter in life.
It is funny how in the last year my "favorites" toolbar has gone from mostly online shopping and food blogs to blogs about Baby_____. And the best part is how much I religiously check them to see what our wonderful friends and their little ones are up to!!
That being said we have officially started the Flewelling Family Blog...aka "A slice of Life on Cinderella Lane."
We hope you check back with us to see how we are doing as we prepare for the arrival of the newest Flewelling...or "the bean" as we affectionately refer to him/her. Although he/she is actually the size of a large shrimp now :-)
Parenthood here we come!!
This photo was taken on our trip to Rosemary Beach, Florida with the Schnees in September. Me at 10 weeks.
